India Hockey Team to tour New Zealand

India Hockey Team to tour New Zealand As part of their preparations for the all-important FIH Hockey World League Final to be held in Raipur later this year, Followed next year’s Rio Olympic Games. After a Successful European Tour,where India Defeated Spain and France , India Seems to Completely filled with great confidence and high Moral and will be looking forward to an another successful tour and will be willing to strengthen their preparations ahead of FIH Hockey World League Finals. On the Other Hand  New Zealand will be taking this tour as preparation for the upcoming Oceania Cup wherein a win would confirm their berth for  the Rio Olympics 2016.

Indian Hockey Team's tour of six test matches  will  start with two matches against New Zealand A(on 2nd and 3rd October ), Followed by four test matches against New Zealand's Senior Hockey Team(on 6th,7th,9th and 11th october).

India's 21-member Squad lead by Captain Sardar Singh for  tour is :

Goalkeepers: PR Sreejesh (vice captain), Harjot Singh.

Defenders: Birendra Lakra, Kothajit Singh, VR Raghunath, Jasjit Singh Kular, Rupinder Pal Singh, Gurjinder Singh.

Midfielders: Sardar Singh (captain), Chinglensana Singh, SK Uthappa, Satbir Singh, Devinder Walmiki, Manpreet Singh, Dharamvir Singh.

Forwards: SV Sunil, Ramandeep Singh, Akashdeep Singh, Mandeep Singh, Lalit Upadhyay, Nikkin Thimmaiah.
